Description

This song stemmed from a challenge made over a zoom call that stuck with me: how do you create art from a place of gratitude? And so, I wrote “Thanks To You” on the back of a reflection upon a difficult time in my life. It’s a realisation how it is pointless trying to please or seek validation from people who do not have good intentions, and do not really care about you. At the end of the day, all you need are a few close friends who really do care about you, and would stand by you and bear witness to the truth. I’m so lucky, grateful and thankful for those people in my life, and this is a song that says “thank you” to the fantastic people in my life.
